MPHS Alum Leads His Way to the White House

Daniel Roberts, Moss Point High's Class of 2010 is currently a junior at The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and was selected to participate in the Spring 2013 session of the White House Internship Program. The mission of the program is to make the White House accessible to future leaders around the nation and to prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities. As a student at Moss Point High School, Mr. Roberts exhibited leadership qualities while serving as both the class and student council president. He valued his community and was committed to giving back Roberts hopes that his accomplishments and future goal planning will inspire the students of Moss Point School District to achieve greatness.

Our 5 Goals

  • Create a challenging, supportive educational environment that results in an increase of 5% in students achieving or above grade level as documented on state assessments.

    Goal 1
  • Increase graduation rate by and reduce the dropout rate by 5%.

    Goal 2
  • Increase district average daily attendance (ADA) to a consistent range of 93% to 96%.

    Goal 3
  • Create within the community a sense of ownership through communication and relevant contact.

  • Hold all employees accountable for student growth and provide staff support through professional development and positive reinforcement.
